Most definitely! Our Serengeti Sunset Ceremony and Pre-Dinner Drinks Package is designed specifically for offsite wedding receptions.

Our wedding reception packages must be booked in conjunction with one of our wedding ceremony packages.

All catering is to be done by Australia Zoo, except for wedding cakes. No BYO alcohol.

If the weather is unfavourable on your event day (although the ducks may disagree) we can look at what wet-weather alternatives may be available to you depending on the size of your party and chosen date.

The hire fee for your wedding space has been built into our wedding packages, so there’s no surprise extra venue fee.

Our ceremony packages vary in time, so please discuss each package’s inclusions with our Wedding Coordinator. Private wedding receptions at Crikey Café can commence from 5:00pm. In line with licensing requirements, our venue closes at 10:00pm. The sale and service of alcohol will cease 30-minutes prior at 9.30pm.

Suppliers will only have access to the wedding ceremony and reception spaces on the day of the wedding. Timing will be subject to change and will be confirmed 4 weeks prior to the wedding.

Styling is included, with the option to upgrade your wedding styling if you would like added touches.

Should you wish to hire any wedding decorations please discuss with our wedding coordinator this possibility. Please note that confetti, rice, rose petals, bubbles and balloons are not permitted within the Zoo grounds due to the possibility of harm to the animals. All candles are required to be in glass, drip enclosed containers.

We have ample complimentary parking onsite at Australia Zoo. To ensure a safe and issue free wedding day we recommend that a bus is arranged to pick up and drop off your guests. We can offer advice to assist with your plans.

The entire Australia Zoo grounds are wheelchair accessible.

Appointments are required if you would like to meet with our Wedding Coordinator and see the available wedding sites. Please contact us to make an appointment.

Yes, The Crocodile Hunter Lodge have stunning cabins available to book.

Yes, we provide all of the above. We do not provide linen table cloths, chair covers or sashes.

Cakes brought from an outside supplier are fine. If you wish for us to cut and plate your cake there are various cakeage options outlined in the wedding reception packages.

You are more than welcome to! We also can provide recommendations on ripper suppliers we’ve worked with in the past. Australia Zoo is a private property and only suppliers or businesses authorised to operate at Australia Zoo, may supply their products or services here.  Additional fees may be applicable for engaging suppliers outside of Australia Zoo’s authorised suppliers or businesses. Please discuss with our Australia Zoo Wedding Coordinator no less than 60 days prior to your wedding day. You are encouraged to engage directly with our preferred suppliers to discuss your specific wedding event needs. All billing for services outside of Australia Zoo packages, is done between you and the supplier directly.
