Experience a sensory adventure like no other! Australia Zoo’s wildlife comes in all shapes and sizes, can be warm or cold, smooth or rough, furry, feathery or scaly! Participants will have the opportunity to see, touch and hear our marvellous animals from a whole new perspective. Have a sneak peek at the role of a zoo keeper which may include providing animal enrichment or assisting with animal feeds.

This program is designed for participants aged 7+ who, due to their specific health or medical requirements, may require extra support throughout the Zoo Keeper for a Day program.

All of our Zoo Keeper for a Day leaders are experienced educators, so they know how to ensure everyone has a happy, safe and super enjoyable day as a zoo keeper. One lucky parent/carer per participant is required to attend this exciting experience!

Details

• Sign In Time: 9:30am at Australia Zoo Admissions.
• Program Time: 9:40am – approx. 12:45pm.
• Ages: 7+
• One lucky parent/carer per participant is required to attend all the fun at no extra cost – please note, additional adults and children cannot be accommodated on the program.
• If you would like to continue exploring the zoo after the program concludes, full day entry to Australia Zoo is included for Sensory program participants. Australian companion card holders receive a free entry for their carer.

What to Bring

• Please wear closed in shoes – you will not be able to participate if you do not have closed in shoes.
• Camera or phone with camera (optional).
• Please bring morning tea and additional snacks – lunch is provided.
• Any medications required or potentially required by participants (please provide detailed information about medical considerations when booking online and to sign in staff on the day of the program).
