Steve wanted to give wildlife lovers the chance to see crocodiles in clear water ponds. This extra visibility means you can see how crocodiles live and behave in the wild.

Australia Zoo Wildlife Warriors Show

Normally crocodiles are camouflaged from their prey by murky waters. But with our clear water pool, you get to see exactly how these prehistoric giants hunt.

Crocoseum Dream

Male crocodiles are very territorial and don’t play nicely with each other. So, Steve dreamt of an intricate system of channels and gates connected to private habitats. The incredible design means the crocs we’ve rescued are kept safe and can be brought out individually for our heart-pumping shows!

His critics said, “It just CAN’T be done”, but he proved them wrong.

Steve’s dream has become the perfect arena to showcase some of the most beautiful animals on the face of the Earth. Not just our crocs, but an array of incredible wildlife to keep you captivated!

The construction team took almost eleven months to complete the mammoth task. They spent weeks bringing in nearly 7,000 cubic metres of dirt to level the building site! Crikey! That’s the same as three Olympic swimming pools!

And now the world-famous Crocoseum stands proud in the middle of Australia Zoo. Every year, thousands of visitors from around the world get the ripper educational experience Steve dreamed of!
