Mardi was first captured by hand in 2019. We were lucky enough to meet her again in 2025, six years since our initial meeting! In that time, Mardi has grown an impressive 67 centimetres (2 feet 3 inches)! These historic hand captures are so special to us because they represent years of deduction, research and connection. We’ve followed Mardi’s journey from a young croc into early adulthood and it’s moments like these that truly highlight the impact of long-term conservation work.
