What a little beauty! Our crocodile research team were keen to identify the large crocodile inhabiting a stretch of the Wenlock River upstream from our research base. It may have taken two years, but we now have the opportunity to learn from Maximus. Based on unique physical features, our research colleagues believe he could be part of Steve’s 2004 study of crocodiles living in the lower reaches of the Wenlock River. Will he stay upstream or is he still nomadic? His tracking data will soon start telling his story!
