Ryan is one of the true legends of the Wenlock River and the 45th crocodile ever tagged in this study back in 2010. Since then, he’s become a cornerstone of our long-term research, with recaptures in 2016, 2020 and again in 2025. At nearly 4.7 metres (15 feet 3.5 inches), Ryan is now the largest living crocodile in our study.
