Royal Children's Hospital

BW Croc, the cuddliest crocodile at Australia Zoo, loves putting a smile on the face of every child she meets! But not only does BW bring joy and laughter to the children who visit us at the Zoo, she also ventures out on day trips to the Royal Children’s Hospital in Brisbane.

With her cheery sidekick in tow (Linda from our Guest Services Department), BW makes the trip from Beerwah to Brisbane every month, taking lots of cool gifts to the ‘Wonder Factory’ at the Royal Children’s Hospital, such as rubber crocodiles and snakes, giant pencils, plush toys, stickers and badges. BW makes sure every child is able to join in on the fun, even going to the bedsides of those who are unable to leave their rooms.

Here at Australia Zoo, we see our role at the hospital as an important one that will make a positive impact on the lives of seriously ill children. We are proud to support such a worthy cause, and will continue to dedicate time to uplifting these special kids and their families.
