Walkabout Tour
A Walkabout Tour is a guided tour provided by one of our Education Officers. Key commentary is provided at select enclosures in accordance with the topic you have chosen. Walkabout tours can be up to 45 minutes in duration, and are best conducted for groups of between 10-15.
Education staff may be booked out for particular days, so advanced planning and bookings are essential. If you have any further questions about the content of our programs, or need help selecting one that is right for your group, please don't hesitate to contact us.
Steve Irwin's Australia Zoo
We'll take you back to where it all began, when Steve's parents opened up Beerwah Reptile Park in 1970. Check out the site where Steve Irwin became the Crocodile Hunter, filming in the Crocodile Environmental Park, with some well known crocs including Agro and Murray. Finish up by visiting the world famous Animal Planet Crocoseum where Steve Irwin himself performed Croc shows, backed up by the world's best croc team.
Australian Animals Encountered
Where better to acquaint yourself with Australia's beautiful and unique wildlife than Australia Zoo? You'll come face to face with our favourite animals, the reptiles! But we'll also ensure a close encounter with Australia's cuddly icons: the kangaroo and the international favourite, the koala. A visit to Australia Zoo is essential for any international groups that want a real taste of Australia.
